Will Masson
It all began with a core mission to help businesses succeed and “be the best they can be”.
Will Masson is the founder and principal at New Light Strategies. He has more than 30 years’ operational and strategic management experience as well having been a practicing professional services partner and consultant.
Will has worked in executive roles at professional and IT services firms including Dimension Data Australia, Corrs Chambers Westgarth and Grant Thornton Australia. He has also held chief executive officer roles in services companies and been an executive director of an ASX-listed IT services company.
A qualified Chartered Accountant, Will was a partner at PwC. He has a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) degree from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, and has completed the Advanced Management Program at INSEAD, the European business school in Fontainebleau, France.
Throughout his career, William has developed and implemented strategic initiatives which have led to significant bottom-line profit increases.
Will’s focus is on developing and implementing strategies and initiatives that significantly improves organisations’ profitability and sustainable performance.
Adam Field
Adam Field is a business advisory specialist with over 30 years’ experience as a practicing Chartered Accountant, banker, chief financial officer and business advisor.
Adam has had the opportunity to assist many clients through significant periods of change. Maintaining a clear head, understanding their goals and helping steer a steady course through sometimes difficult situations are some of Adam’s strengths.
After initially starting his career in audit and insolvency, Adam enjoyed a decade as a senior banker working as a relationship manager and executive in business and corporate banking with two of the big four banks. Adam’s professional advisory career has included roles as a Partner with large accounting practices, including Grant Thornton Australia. Adam was also the group Chief Financial Officer of a large privately owned construction and property group and managed it through a difficult restructure. This role involved responsibility and leadership for financial management of the group.
Adam is able to quickly gain an understanding of the key drivers of businesses and quantify the impact that business decisions have on profitability, cash flow and business value. He works closely with clients to structure their business for growth and advising on acquisitions, debt financing and pre-IPO capital raising. Having worked as a chief financial officer, Adam understands the complexities of working closely with business owners, CEOs and CFOs and provides support across all aspects of business strategy, financial control, acquisitions and capital management.
Adam specialises in providing practical commercial, strategic and tactical advice, always with the focus of ensuring his clients are able to protect and maximise the long term value of their business.
